Jerash, 2/10/2002, (Communication & Information Division - Royal Hashemite Court) -His Majesty King Abdullah II affirmed that the programme of developing governorates will receive more support next year to be able to achieve the goals of enhancing citizens' productivity and improving their standards of living though creating job opportunities and limiting the problems of poverty and unemployment.

Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania will start a two-day official visit to Switzerland Wednesday. During the visit King Abdullah will hold talks with the President of the Swiss Confederation, Kaspar Villiger, and other Swiss Officials on ways of promoting bilateral relations and cooperation especially in trade and economy. His Majesty and the Swiss President will also discuss the latest developments in the region.
