King receives Malaysia monarch

His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday received Al Sultan Abdullah Riayatuddin Al Mustafa Billah Shah, the King of Malaysia, who is visiting Jordan to attend the wedding of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.
The meeting covered the strong ties between the two countries and peoples. As well as keenness to expand cooperation in service of mutual interest.
Discussions at the meeting, held at Beit Al Urdun and attended by His Royal Highness Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, also touched on Jordan’s efforts to safeguard Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, under the Hashemite Custodianship.
The latest regional and international developments, especially the Palestinian cause and means to reach political solutions to regional crises were also discussed.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan, and Malaysia’s Ambassador to Jordan Mohamad Nasri Abdul Rahman attended the meeting.
An official welcoming ceremony was held for the Malaysian monarch upon his arrival at Beit Al Urdun.
