King discusses Jordan’s economic efforts with World Bank, International Monetary Fund

His Majesty King Abdullah on Friday met in Washington, DC, with World Bank Group President David Malpass, and International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, in separate meetings, attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.
The two meetings covered Jordan’s efforts in implementing economic and development plans seeking to provide job opportunities, enhancing investments, and improving the business environment and basic services, with the goal of achieving growth and providing jobs, while maintaining economic stability and supporting those most impacted by COVID-19 implications.
The meetings also addressed ways for international agencies to support the recovery of the Jordanian economy from the recent crisis.
Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan, and Jordan’s Ambassador in Washington, DC, Dina Kawar attended the meetings.
