His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday departed on a working visit to the United States.
 
King Abdullah is scheduled to meet with United Nations Secretary General António Guterres in New York, in addition to a number of political, economic, and media leaders, ahead of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly.
 
His Royal Highness Prince Ali bin Al Hussein was sworn in as Regent, in the presence of Cabinet members.
