His Majesty King Abdullah, in a phone call on Wednesday with Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades, discussed bilateral ties and means to bolster cooperation in all areas.
King Abdullah commended the outputs of the strategic inter-agency dialogue session held recently between the two countries in Cyprus, expressing Jordan’s keenness to expand cooperation with Cyprus and Greece within the trilateral framework.
The call also covered regional developments, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause, with His Majesty reaffirming that achieving stability in the Middle East is not possible without reaching just and comprehensive peace between the Palestinians and the Israelis, on the basis of the two-state solution, which would guarantee the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 4 June 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
