King meets Japanese Prime Minister

His Majesty King Abdullah, on Tuesday, met with Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzō Abe, and discussed with him efforts to combat terrorism and extremism.

The meeting, which was attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, also touched upon regional developments, mainly the Syrian crisis.

King Abdullah and the Japanese premier stressed the need to support refugee-host countries including Jordan.

The Japanese primer emphasised the need to support Jordan to extend assistance to refugees, pledging his country’s support to Jordan.

They also underlined the importance of resuming Palestinian-Israelis peace negotiations based on the two-state solution.
