King receives Egypt PM

His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday received Egypt’s Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab, who is chairing the Egyptian delegation to the meetings of the Joint Jordanian-Egyptian Higher Committee, which are currently being held in Amman.

At his meeting with the Egyptian official at Al Husseiniya Palace, attended by Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour, King Abdullah stressed the brotherly relations and the solid ties between Egypt and Jordan.

His Majesty also stressed Jordan’s commitment to continuous consultation with the Egyptian leadership to “best serve the mutual interests of the two countries and Arab and regional causes”.

King Abdullah highlighted the need to build on the strong bilateral relations.

His Majesty expressed hope that the meetings of the joint higher committee will contribute to strengthening Jordanian-Egyptian partnership and cooperation, especially in the fields of economy, commerce and transport.

Mahlab asserted Egypt’s commitment to boosting its relations with the Kingdom, expressing Egypt’s appreciation of Jordan’s positions, led by His Majesty, in supporting Egypt.
