King phones French president, expresses condolences

His Majesty King Abdullah on Friday telephoned French President Francois Hollande and expressed his condolences and sympathies over the victims of the terrorist attack on the Paris offices of the weekly satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo (Charlie Weekly).
In the telephone conversation, King Abdullah expressed Jordan’s solidarity with the victims’ families, and the French people and leadership to overcome this ordeal.
The King denounced the “cowardly” terrorist attack, stressing the importance of intensifying the international community’s efforts to effectively and efficiently confront the dangers of terrorism and radicalisation.
Hollande thanked His Majesty for his condolences and his condemnation of the terrorist attack.
