His Majesty King Abdullah directed relevant authorities to improve public services in the Karak Governorate.

During a visit to the southern governorate on Wednesday, King Abdullah called on the authorities to speed up the pace of work at Karak Public Hospital, which officials said would form a qualitative leap in the level of health and medical services in Karak.

His Majesty also instructed Royal Court officials to support projects of high priority that would improve services in the governorate.

Such high-priority projects include providing Karak Public Hospital with necessary medical equipment, and establishing a vocational school to develop the outcomes of vocational and technical education.

Concerned parties were also instructed to support income-generating projects in the Karak Municipality, expand and improve environmental tourism facilities in Wadi Al Mujib in the northern part of the governorate with the aim of increasing tourism activity in the region, and complete a forestation project in Qaser District.
