King receives secretary general of Arab League

His Majesty King Abdullah II received on Sunday the Arab League secretary general Nabil Elaraby for talks on the latest developments in the Middle East and the need to boost joint Arab action.
The King noted the important role of the Arab League in serving Arab causes and enhancing solidarity among the Arab nations.
The meeting also touched on the recent Arab Summit in Kuwait, where His Majesty stressed the importance of implementing the resolutions of the Summit.
Further, King Abdullah and Elaraby discussed efforts to achieve peace in the Middle East according to the two-state solution and the Arab Peace Initiative, considered a historical opportunity to achieve a just and lasting peace in the Middle East.
The meeting also addressed efforts to solve the Syrian crisis and ways to elicit further support from the international community for the countries hosting Syrian refugees to help them to continue to provide services for the refugees.
Elaraby, on his part, briefed His Majesty on the Arab League's efforts to bring the Arab stances closer when it comes to facing the challenges posed to the Arab nation. He also said he valued Jordan for hosting the largest number of Syrian refugees.
The secretary general expressed his appreciation to King Abdullah for his efforts to support the joint Arab action and achieve peace and stability in the Middle East.
