King Arrives In Bangkok

His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday arrived in the Thai capital Bangkok, the last station of a tour of East Asia which also took him to Japan and China. King Abdullah will meet Thai King Phumibol Adulyadej on Wednesday to discuss bilateral cooperation. On Thursday, he is expected to meet Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra and discuss with him means of enhancing bilateral cooperation in the economic, trade and investment domains, as well as political developments in the Middle East. He also will attend the signing of an investment protection agreement. During the King's last visit to Thailand in April, the two countries signed a technical and economic cooperation agreement to enhance cooperation in the cultural, tourism, industrial, trade and agricultural sectors. The King will address political, religious, academic and economic leaders at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand's oldest university.
