His Majesty King Abdullah II, received cables of congratulations on the occasion of the new Hijri year.



The cables were sent by King Muhammad VI of Morocco, Sultan Haji Hassan Bolkiah of Brunei, Palestinian President Yasser Arafat, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khalifah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Bahraini Prime Minister Sheikh Khalifah bin Salman Al Khalifah.



Senders of the cables wished the King continued good health and happiness and the people of Jordan further progress and prosperity.



King Abdullah also received cables from the prime minister, president of the Senate, speaker of the parliament, president of the Judicial Council, the King's advisor for security affairs and director of the Intelligence Department, the King's advisor for Islamic affairs,
chief justice, chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, directors of the public security and civil defense departments and other officials.
