His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, was briefed on Wednesday during a visit to the General Headquarters of the Armed Forces, on plans that have been set by the armed forces to contribute to training the Iraqi army.



The step, which aims at accelerating the process of rebuilding Iraqi institutions and supporting efforts of the Iraqi people to regain liberty and independence, comes as a continuation of Jordan's role towards the Iraqi people.



His Majesty also discussed with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Khaled Jamil Sarayrah, a number of issues of concern to the armed forces.
