King Receives Heads of Delegates

His Majesty King Abdullah II continued his meetings with Heads of delegates participating in the World Economic Forum in the Dead Sea.



His Majesty met on Monday with French Minister of Trade and Industry Nicole Fontaine who reviewed with His Majesty a number of bilateral issues.



The King discussed with the French Minister scopes of cooperation in the Industrial and trade fields and mechanisms of activating investment and trade exchange between the two countries.



The King also met with South African Vice President Jacob Zuma and discussed with him the bilateral relations, Zuma praised holding the World Economic Forum in Jordan, affirming that the issues which were discussed in the Forum were very important for the world in general and the Middle East in particular.



The King also discussed with the Singaporean Minister of trade George Yeo the future of economic cooperation between Jordan and Singapore through signing a free trade agreement between the two countries.



The King affirmed that signing such agreement would open the horizon in front of increasing investment opportunities and activating economic and investment exchange between the two countries.



Talks, which were attended by the Minister of the Royal Court and Ministers of Telecommunication, planning and Industry, covered cooperation between Jordan and Singapore in the technical fields.



The Singaporean Minister expressed his country's support to Jordan and its readiness to provide Jordan with all the experiences in order to contribute in the success of establishing the electronic government.



On the other hand, The King met with Palestinian Minister of Finance Salam Fayyad and discussed with him the situation in the Palestinian lands and the Palestinian Prime Minister's efforts aiming at reforming the Palestinian institutions.



The King affirmed Jordan's support to the Palestinian Government's efforts in building and reorganizing Palestinian institutions which will form the core of the Palestinian state.



Fayyad praised Jordan's role under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II in supporting Palestinian people and His Majesty's efforts which aim at ending Israeli occupation and achieving the future hopes of Palestinian people.
