His Majesty King Abdullah II affirmed on Tuesday during a meeting with the EU Commissioner for External relations Chris patten, Jordan's keenness to promote its relations with the EU through enhancing the partnership with Europe.

The King expressed hope that the aid that Jordan receives from the EU will enable the private sector to benefit from marketing Jordanian commodities and services in European markets and encouraging European companies to invest in the vital Jordanian sectors.

During the meeting which was attended by the Prime Minister, the Foreign and Planning Ministers as well as Jordan's ambassador to the EU, His Majesty underlined the importance that Jordan attaches to the role of the EU in supporting efforts of just peace in the Middle East and achieving security and stability in it.
