Royal Decree issued to form strategy committee

A Royal Decree was issued on Thursday for the establishment of a Royal committee to formulate a national strategy for people with disabilities.

His Majesty King Abdullah issued directives on Wednesday to formulate a national strategy for the disabled, which would address their demands and challenges they face, integrate them into society and coordinate efforts in the field.

The committee, chaired by HRH Prince Raad, Chief Chamberlain and president of the Higher Committee for Managing Projects for People with Disabilities, includes, as members, the ministers of education, health and social development.

In addition, Rajai Muasher, Haidar Murad, Mohammad Sqour, Basil Hourani, Shaman Majali, Odeh Yousef Odeh, Mohammad Tarawneh, Mohammad Sami Harzallah and Ali Shawahin will serve on the panel.
