Royal Decree approves reshuffle of Ensour government

A Royal Decree was issued on Wednesday approving the reshuffle of the cabinet of Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour.

The government members were sworn in Wednesday before His Majesty King Abdullah, at a ceremony held at Raghadan Palace, except for the Awqaf minister who was abroad.

The ceremony was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Ghazi, the King’s chief adviser for religious and cultural affairs and his personal envoy, Prince Ra'ad bin Zeid the Chief Chamberlain, Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour, His Majesty’s Office Director Imad Fakhouri, King's adviser for tribal affairs Sharif Fawaz Zaben Abdullah and His Majesty’s adviser Ali Al Fazza'.

Following is the list of Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour’s Cabinet members:

  1. Abdullah Ensour: Prime Minister and Minister of Defence
  2. Amin Mahmoud: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research
  3. Mohammad Thneibat: Minister of Education
  4. Nasser Judeh: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs
  5. Hussein Majali: Minister of Interior
  6. Hatem Halawani: Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply
  7. Hazem Nasser: Minister of Water and Irrigation
  8. Akef Zu’bi: Minister of Agriculture
  9. Taher Shakhshir: Minister of Environment
  10. Umayya Toukan: Minister of Finance
  11. Khleef Al Khawaldeh: Minister of Public Sector Development
  12. Nidal Katamine: Minister of Labour and Minister of Tourism and Antiquities

At the meeting with the outgoing ministers, His Majesty expressed thanks and appreciation for their efforts during their tenure.
