His Majesty King Abdullah II described his first visit to Poland as a "rich and fantastic" experiment noting his impression during a visit to the unknown soldier monument in Warsaw, which commemorates the Polish people's sacrifices for freedom and human dignity that have inspired many peoples in the world to follow the same path.
Speaking during a dinner hosted in his honor by Polish President Alexsander Kwasiewski, King Abdullah said " We in Jordan are committed to a just and lasting solution for the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is still the major barrier before stability and development in the Middle East."
"As we said during our talks this afternoon, we will do our utmost to assist rebuilding a democratic and united Iraq and to contribute effectively to the international fight against terrorism," said the King who voiced pride in relations with Poland.
For his part, the Polish President welcomed the King's first visit to his country. "This visit which comes after forty years of establishing formal relations between the two countries would certainly enhance ties of friendship between the two countries and peoples and strengthen feelings of respect and sympathy.
The two countries have a lot to offer to each other in economic, cultural, scientific and tourist spheres, President Kwasiewski added. He said his country is observing today the 65th anniversary of the Second World War in which Poland lost six million people and therefore the most sacred wish for his people is to live in a world where nations respect one another and settle their problems in peaceful means.
