His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday received a phone call from US President Barack Obama, during which the two leaders discussed Middle East peace efforts.
King Abdullah told Obama that finding a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a priority and a prerequisite for regional peace and stability, reiterating his call for prompt, serious and direct negotiations between the Palestinians and Israel will conclude in the internationally endorsed two-state formula.
The King expressed appreciation for Obama's address to Muslims around the world, delivered in Cairo last week, and his renewal of US support for the two-state solution.
