Military parade honours King's birthday, assumption of constitutional power

His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF), attended a military parade and military exercises on Tuesday. The event was organised by the JAF to mark the King's 47th birthday and the passage of 10 years since he assumed constitutional powers.

The parade featured the Army's infantry units and weapons. The celebrations also included an air show performed by F-16, F-15, training and advanced training aircraft, helicopters, fighter helicopters, cargo aircraft and various types of aircraft.

Several Royal family members, chiefs of staff, senior officials, parliamentarians and diplomats also attended the event.
