Foreign Minister Marwan Muasher left Amman on Thursday heading to the United States to deliver a letter from His Majesty King Abdullah to the US President George Bush.

The letter includes Jordan`s vision to stop the Israeli escalation against the Palestinian people and their legitimate leadership. It also includes the basis of the Jordanian stand calling for the importance of providing protection for the Palestinian people and ending this dangerous escalation which will take the region into a new cycle of violence and threaten the whole peace process.

During his visit to the US, Muasher will meet a number of senior officials to discuss the current situation in the occupied Palestinian lands and their reflections on the region.

The King`s letter comes within the efforts exerted by Jordan on the highest levels to end Israeli aggression against the Palestinians and the Israeli incursions into Palestinian cities and villages.
