His Majesty King Abdullah II on Wednesday phoned Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh to discuss areas of bilateral cooperation and recent developments in the region.

Both leaders stressed the importance of the Joint Jordanian-Yemeni Committee meetings in enhancing and activating relations in various fields.

The meetings which opened today in Amman were headed by Prime Minister Nader Dahabi and his Yemeni counterpart Dr. Ali Mohammed Majour.
