His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday visited Syria to offer condolences to Syrian president Bashar Assad over the death of his brother Majd Assad, who passed away on Saturday.

During the brief visit, King Abdullah and Assad also discussed bilateral ties and issues of mutual concern, including efforts to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and bring peace and stability to the region.

The King returned from Syria later on Wednesday.
