His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday visited the Royal Scientific Society (RSS) where he met with His Royal Highness Prince Hassan, chairman of the RSS board of trustees.

During the meeting, attended by RSS President Her Royal Highness Princess Sumaya and Royal Court Chief Nasser Lozi, they reviewed the society's activities in the fields of research and development that seek to enhance Jordan's capabilities in facing socio-economic development challenges by relying on national resources.

King Abdullah said he highly valued the role of the RSS and the other institutions affiliated with El Hassan Science City in training and developing scientific and technological capabilities by increasing awareness in scientific and applied research and using technology to realise the national objectives in scientific research.
