His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, visited the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) Command on Monday.
His Majesty, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, was briefed by the RJAF commander on key operational developments, combat readiness, defence capabilities, as well as modernisation and development plans.
The King toured RJAF’s Command and Control Centre, and was briefed on the work of the Air Operations Department and surveillance and tracking systems, and their role in enhancing threat response efficiency, thereby strengthening the protection of Jordan’s airspace.
His Majesty met with a number of RJAF pilots and praised their professionalism and competence in carrying out their duties and protecting the Kingdom’s airspace.
The King emphasised the importance of maintaining the highest levels of readiness and carrying out tasks efficiently and effectively, particularly in light of current regional challenges.
His Majesty also expressed pride in the efforts of Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army personnel, and their pivotal role in protecting citizens and safeguarding Jordan’s security and stability.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti accompanied His Majesty on the visit.
