His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, visited the Public Security Department (PSD) headquarters on Wednesday and was briefed by its director, Gen. Tawfiq Tawalbeh, on the PSD strategy for 2013-2016.

King Abdullah commended PSD efforts to protect citizens, calling for further enhancing the PSD's performance.

The King also visited the PSD desert brigade and was briefed on its duties and role in maintaining security in the badia region.

His Majesty also watched an exercise performed by the brigade.
