His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, on Wednesday visited the Princess Basma Third Mechanised Battalion.

During the visit, King Abdullah was briefed by the battalion's commander on its duties and training programmes.

The King, who was accompanied by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Gen. Mashal Al Zaben and senior officers, also toured the battalion's headquarters and issued directives on a number of issues of concern to the armed forces.
