His Majesty King Abdullah made an unannounced visit on Thursday to Thughra village in the Governorate of Maan's Mreigha District.

King Abdullah visited two families in the village, where most of the 300 residents live in tents, and discussed their needs and living conditions. King Abdullah issued instructions to provide the families with the means to improve their circumstances and satisfy their needs.

He also talked to residents gathered in a tent, listening to their concerns and instructing Royal Court officials to study their needs and respond to them as soon as possible.

King Abdullah said that in addition to the provision of proper housing, residents needed improved water services. He also called for the construction of a sports field.

The King had paid a similar visit to the village of Hashemiyyeh in the same southern governorate a week earlier.
