His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday visited Iraqi Parliament Speaker Mahmoud Mashhadani, who is currently receiving treatment at Al Hussein Medical Centre.
During the visit, King Abdullah checked on Mashhadani's health condition and wished him a quick recovery.
King Abdullah also briefed him on his recent visit to Iraq that aimed at reinforcing bilateral ties.
His Majesty underscored keenness to push Jordanian-Iraqi relations forward in order to serve the interests of both countries in various fields.
King Abdullah also expressed the country's support for Iraq's efforts to achieve security and stability and maintain the country's unity and sovereignty with the aim of moving forward to a new stage of reconstruction and development, where all components of the Iraqi population are involved.
Mashhadani was admitted to the medical centre earlier this week after suffering heart problems.
King Abdullah was accompanied by Director of the General Intelligence Department Lieutenant General Mohammad Dahabi during the visit.
