His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces on Wednesday visited the Civil Defence Department (CDD) and was briefed on its services in various fields.

King Abdullah stressed the importance of updating CDD equipment and services as well as the need to develop staff skills.

CDD General Director Lieutenant General Talal Kofahi briefed His Majesty on the CDD's strategy and plans to enhance its performance.
