King visits Army Headquarters, meets ex-servicemen

His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, on Wednesday asserted his commitment to engaging all Jordanians in the reform process.

King Abdullah made the remarks during a visit to the Army Headquarters where he met with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Lt. General Mashal Al Zaben and several retired servicemen.

The King also emphasised his commitment to a policy of openness regarding all outstanding issues, encouraging the retired officers to contribute to the discussions over these issues.

During the meeting, attended by His Royal Highness Prince Feisal, the King stressed the role of retired military personnel in strengthening the country's reform and development process.

King Abdullah commended proposals made by the former officers to “safeguard the accomplishments” of the country.

During the visit, the King also discussed with Zaben several issues related to the armed forces.
