His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, visited the General Headquarters of the Jordan Armed Forces where King Abdullah was received by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mashal Mohammad Zaben and His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein.

His Majesty checked on the preparations taken by the armed forces to preserve the security of Jordan and its people in line with the country’s supportive stance towards the regional and international alliance to counter terrorist organisations and groups that threaten security and stability of the region.

Jordan will continue in its efforts to counter terrorists and cut off their resources, stressed the King.

The army chief briefed King Abdullah on all operational, logistical and administrative issues of the army's units and formations and their plans to deal with all challenges and threats.
