His Majesty King Abdullah will visit Syria briefly today during which he will meet with President Bashar Assad and discuss the latest regional developments.

Discussions will focus on efforts to achieve a comprehensive and viable peace in the region, in accordance with relevant international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.

The two leaders will also review relations between the two countries.
