His Majesty King Abdullah will start on Sunday a several-day visit to Japan, where he will meet with Emperor Akihito and high-ranking officials.
King Abdullah will hold talks with Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso on ways to bolster bilateral cooperation, especially in the economic sector.
Discussions will also cover developments in the Middle East and efforts to bring about peace in the region, in addition to regional issues of mutual concern.
The King is also scheduled to meet with several Japanese parliamentary, political and economic figures.
