King to visit Brussels and Strasbourg

His Majesty King Abdullah will on Sunday start a working visit to Brussels and Strasbourg Sunday.

In the EU capital, he will meet senior Belgian and NATO officials.

King Abdullah will meet Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel to discuss bilateral relations and means to enhance them in various fields, in addition to regional and international developments.

The King will also meet Jens Stoltenberg, NATO’s secretary general, to discuss Jordan’s ties and fields of cooperation with the organisation.

His Majesty will then visit Strasbourg to address the European Parliament on March 10, focusing on key issues and challenges facing the region.

At the parliament’s headquarters, the King is scheduled to meet with several officials, including the legislature’s president, Martin Schulz.

In Strasbourg, His Majesty will also meet with President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini to discuss bilateral ties and ways of cooperation, in addition to developments in the Middle East.
