His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday said that the Middle East has one destination and goal: a strong and stable future where all people thrive.
In closing remarks at the final plenary session of the World Economic Forum (WEF) at the Dead Sea Sunday, King Abdullah called for world engagement to end the Mideast conflict and the bloodshed in Syria.
Addressing hundreds of delegates to the three-day event, His Majesty said “this forum has also provided a platform for a creative initiative to support efforts to relaunch Palestinian-Israeli negotiations.”
“Your engagement — people-to-people; private sector-to-private sector; regional and international — can help break the impasse. And today, you injected your input directly into the hard work that Secretary Kerry and the key parties have been doing to relaunch final status negotiations. Politicians’ efforts need your energy to achieve a two-state solution based on the Arab Peace Initiative. Let’s help the parties get on with it.”
His Majesty also outlined Jordan’s reforms citing a series of successes in that regard.
