King, top Saudi executive discuss economic cooperation

His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday received Fahd Al Rasheed, chief executive officer of King Abdullah Economic City, who is in the Kingdom to participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF).

During the meeting, prospects of economic cooperation were discussed in addition to the investment opportunities and competitiveness of Jordan’s economy.

The political and economic implications of holding WEF in Jordan for the ninth time was also tackled in terms of the testimony it gives to the Kingdom’s stability and security.

Aspects of complementary, economic cooperation between Aqaba and King Abdullah Economic City was also discussed with focus on Jordan’s sole port city, Aqaba, as an important economic zone on the shores of the Red Sea.

Rasheed expressed admiration at the good reputation of Jordan’s economy worldwide and its competitive advantages in regional and world markets.

The meeting was attended by Royal Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh and His Majesty’s Office Director Jafar Hassan.
