His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday attended the extraordinary summit of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which began yesterday in the holy city of Mecca.

In his remarks at the summit, King Abdullah highlighted the threats to the Arab Islamic identity of Jerusalem due to Israeli unilateral measures.

The King called for a firmer stand by Muslim nations against the Israeli Judaisation policy and in support of Arab residents of the holy city and its Islamic and Christian holy sites, warning against “attempts to change the demographic composition of Jerusalem” which is labelled as a city under occupation.
