His Majesty King Abdullah and Syrian President Bashar Assad expressed their satisfaction with the progress in relations between Jordan and Syria.
King Abdullah and the Syrian president, who attended the meetings of the Arab Summit in Doha, voiced their keenness to boost bilateral institutionalized relations in the interests of both peoples.
The two leaders also highlighted the importance of coordination and consultation in the service of Arab interests.
During the meeting, attended by Prime Minister Nader Dahabi, Royal Court Chief Nasser Lozi and the King's Advisor Ayman Safadi, the King and president Assad stressed the need to enhance Arab reconciliation to promote Arab solidarity and joint action.
Talks during the meeting, which was also attended by the Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Mualim and Buthaina Shaaban, the political and media advisor to the Syrian president, also dealt with the current situation in the Middle East and means of enhancing peace and stability.
