His Majesty King Abdullah II has underlined the necessity for Arab countries to work in a team spirit to succeed the upcoming Arab summit scheduled in Tunis next week.
During a meeting on Sunday with Arab League Secretary General Amr Mousa, who is taking part in the World Economic Forum, King Abdullah said " We are working with our Arab brothers to ensure that the summit would come up with decisions that meet the Arab peoples' hopes and aspirations at this phase, which requires a united Arab position concerning the current issues.
The King stressed the importance of topics on the summit agenda at the top of which are peace in the Middle East, the situation in Iraq and reforms in the region.
Mousa informed the King of preparations and arrangements for the summit between the Arab League and the Arab states.
King Abdullah had another meeting with the Netherlands Foreign Minister Bernard Bot and reviewed with him the ongoing efforts to reinvigorate the peace process through implementing the road map.
Any withdrawal plans from the Palestinian territories should be based on the Security Council resolutions and the road map, King Abdullah said.
