King Starts Official Visit To US

Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania started on Monday an official five-day visit to the United States.



His Majesty's visit to Washington gains special importance at this stage which witnesses dangerous developments on the Palestinian arena.



During his Majesties meeting with US President George Bush on Friday, the King will emphasize the importance of moving to prevent more deterioration and end the cycle of violence to pave the way for resuming the peace process and implement the roadmap.



The King starts his visit on Monday by meeting with eleven organizations that adopt the call for the values of democracy and human rights and will meet representatives of the Arab-American organizations in Washington.



During the coming two days, the King will meet with US Secretary of State Colin Powel, the president's advisor for national security affairs Condolesa Rice and senior US administration officials.



King Abdullah will also address the US congressional committee on foreign affairs.
