His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday will start an official visit to the UK, during which he is scheduled to meet Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles.
The King will also hold talks with senior British officials on bilateral ties and prospects for further cooperation at all levels, in addition to the latest political developments in the world and the region.
The King will deliver a keynote address at the annual ceremony of the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce, in which he will highlight the potential for economic partnership between Jordan and the UK and investment opportunities available in Jordan for Arab and British businesspeople.
During the visit, King Abdullah will hold talks with prominent members of the British parliament, focusing on the current situation in the Middle East.
His Majesty is also scheduled to take part in a panel discussion with the participation of several senior British economic, political, military and intellectual figures. Participants in the session, organised by the Royal Institute of International Affairs, also known as Chatham House, will discuss the comprehensive reform process Jordan is embarking on and the political transformation witnessed in the Arab region and its impact on the future.
In addition, King Abdullah will meet a number of leading media figures in London and highlight his vision for reform in the Kingdom and discuss the latest developments in the region.
His Royal Highness Prince Ali was sworn in as Regent on Friday in the presence of Cabinet members.
