His Majesty King Abdullah arrived in Bucharest on Sunday on the start of an East European tour that will also take him to the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
During the three-day tour, King Abdullah will hold talks with Romanian President Traian Basescu, Czech President Vaclav Klaus, Slovak President Ivan Gasparovic and other senior officials on means to foster ties in different fields.
Several agreements and memoranda of understanding will also be signed between the Kingdom and each of the East European countries.
Talks will also cover developments in the Middle East and efforts to bring about peace and stability in the region.
The King seeks to rally the international community's support, especially the EU that is chaired currently by the Czech Republic, to relaunch serious negotiations to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict based on the two-state solution.
