His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday will start an official trip that includes working visits to Algeria, the US and the UK.
In Algeria, King Abdullah will hold bilateral talks with President Abdulaziz Bouteflika to discuss means to enhance relations and boost cooperation between the two countries in various fields in addition to the latest political developments in the region.
In New York, the King will take part in an interfaith conference, initiated by Saudi King Abdullah Ben Abdul Aziz, where he will address the participants at UN headquarters.
The meeting, which aims to promote dialogue among the world's monotheistic religions, will be a follow-up to a similar conference held in Madrid in July, Agence France-Presse reported.
Jordan's latest involvement in interfaith dialogue was through a meeting between Muslim scholars and Pope Benedict XVI in the Vatican on Thursday, which evolved into a forum that will meet every two years.
The New York conference, which will be attended by world leaders and senior officials as well as an array of religious leaders, is aimed at addressing common global challenges.
King Abdullah will conclude his tour in London, where he will hold talks with senior officials on bilateral relations and situations in the Middle East.
