King to start Belgium visit Wednesday

His Majesty King Abdullah will start a working visit to Belgium on Wednesday as part of his continuous efforts to coordinate with the world decision-making capitals over regional issues.

During the visit, King Abdullah is scheduled to meet with King Philippe of Belgium and Prime Minister Elio Di Rupo. Talks will focus on the latest developments in the Middle East, in addition to means to boost bilateral cooperation at all levels.

The King is also scheduled to meet with President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy, European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, EU High Representative of Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton and President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz along with members of the parliament’s committees.

His Majesty is also set to hold talks with a number of European political and intellectual figures to discuss developments in the region and means to further enhance the Jordanian-EU ties.
