His Majesty King Abdullah II departed on Wednesday for a private visit that will be followed on Saturday by an official visit to Azerbaijan.

During his stay in the central Asian country, King Abdullah will meet with President Ilham Aliyev for talks on bilateral ties and regional and international issues of common concern, the statement said.

His Royal Highness Prince Feisal was sworn in as Regent.
