His Majesty King Abdullah II on Thursday sponsored the national forum on the working plan of social and economic action for 2004-2006, organized by the ministry of planning and international cooperation.



Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Basem Awadallah said that the forum is a beginning of a new integrate course in which the government puts preliminary ideas to determine the economic and social targets to be achieved during the coming stage. The ideas will be later presented to the private sector and civil society for consideration, he clarified.



Dr. Awadallah stressed that the plan is still a draft formulated by the conversation that took place, along seven months period of time, between the various ministries and government establishments.



He expressed appreciation on His Majesty King Abdullah II's comprehensive vision that sees human being as the generator of development.



He pointed out that the mission is not an easy one and needs a lot of work and consistent action.
