King sends letter to former chairman, General Sarayreh

His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday sent a letter to the former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Khaled Sarayreh, who was retired as of February 23.

In the letter, King Abdullah thanked Sarayreh for his loyalty and for shouldering his responsibility with bravery, power and commitment to the true spirit of the army.

Underlining his long years of service and distinguished performance, the King told Sarayreh that he will always enjoy his confidence, respect and appreciation as well as that of his fellow soldiers.

In his reply to the King, Sarayreh expressed pride in eight years of service in the post, adding he will always be a soldier serving the country and the King.

Another Royal Decree was issued Tuesday, appointing Sarayreh as a Senate member as of February 23, 2010.
