King, Saudi deputy defence minister stress strong ties, discuss region

His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday discussed Jordanian-Saudi ties during a meeting with Saudi Deputy Defence Minister Prince Khaled Bin Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, who is currently visiting to participate in the Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference (SOFEX) 2012.

King Abdullah said Jordan is keen on fostering ties with Saudi Arabia "to serve the two countries' interests", noting the deep brotherly ties between him and Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz. The King also stressed Jordan’s desire to enhance coordination in order to advance regional peace and stability.

Political developments in the Arab world also figured high on the meeting, attended by Director of the King's Office Imad Fakhoury and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lieutenant-General Mishal Zabin.
