His Majesty King Abdullah returned Saturday morning from a several-day visit to Japan, where he met with Japanese Emperor Akihito and high-ranking officials.
King Abdullah discussed with Japanese Prime Minster Yukio Hatoyama, and a number of Japanese officials means to boost bilateral cooperation, especially in the economic, trade and investment fields.
The discussions also focused on the current situation in the Middle East and efforts to achieve peace in the region. King Abdullah stressed the importance of intensifying efforts of the international community to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in accordance with the two-state solution and within a comprehensive regional context.
